Shared Bloodlines

Tonight I will add at least 1 new page to my website, but thought I would share this discovery early with my subscribers.

My 3rd cousin, James Bruce, 8th Earl of Elgin's wife, Mary Louisa Lambton, was the Grand daughter of Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey. Charles Grey is quite an historic character with a strong military career that spans the American War of Independence, the Seven Years War and the French Revolutionary Wars. He is also an ancestor of two British Prime Ministers, Anthony Eden and Alec Douglas-Home as well as an ancestor of Diana, Princess of Wales.

It will take some work to figure out how distant a relative Diana, and her two royal offspring, HRH William and HRH Harry are to me, but it should be a fun exercise.
